I believe when we are relaxed and connected, our life expands. We are free to create a life we desire. We find true happiness and spread more love into the world!
Here’s a little about me…I am a lover of life and adventure. My life is a balance of travel and exploration, inside and out.
I have lived and worked in Antarctica, traveled to India, Bali, Bolivia, Peru, Mexico and Europe, and extensively throughout the states. I love yoga, meditating, painting, journaling, singing in the car on road trips, being in nature, and philosophizing. I love living in Portland, Maine, “the way life should be!”
My hand analysis says that my soul’s purpose is to be a butterfly and follow my heart. So, that’s essentially what I strive to do each day.
If you’re curious, here’s the long story of how I became a Massage Therapist, Coach, Finger Painter and more…
After getting my English degree from Muhlenberg College, I joined AmeriCorps and worked with youth and elderly in Boston. I continued working with AmeriCorps in Idaho for a couple of years and then moved to Maine where I was blessed to work as a case manager with refugees that came from all over the world.
Then I got the travel bug, which led me to Antarctica to be a janitor as I worked for travel money.
In Antarctica they have lots of parties and dancing (they gotta keep us busy down there). Well, one night while I was dancing, my neck became stiff and I couldn’t move it at all!
You see, right before I went down to the ice I had hurt my shoulder doing a tricky yoga pose, but never really paid much attention to it. I think cleaning so many toilets aggravated it so much that my body just said, “Enough!” (Not to mention – I’m sure there were lots of emotional reasons behind my hurt shoulder and neck issues too… but that’s another story!)
Anyway, that’s when I discovered the healing benefits of massage therapy.
It was amazing to me that my massage therapist could find just the right spots to heal my neck and shoulder. I was awed by how natural and powerful this method of healing was, and it fit my personality so well that I had the realization that I wanted to be a therapist too.
After traveling a bit of the world and a couple of Antarctica stints, Massage school and my heart (mostly the heart!) led me to Texas. I was trained at Lauterstein-Conway Massage School in Austin in 2002 and have continued taking amazing massage courses ever since.
During my time in Texas I began attending a Unity church where they teach (which was new to me) the concept that we create our own reality. I discovered the teachings of Abraham Hicks and the Law of Attraction, Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, and many other inspirational thinkers.
Then The Secret movie came out. I soaked all of this up and put all of what I learned into practice. My life was totally changing and improving and I discovered the freedom and power that comes when we live a life with purpose and intention.
I hired a Life Coach, and since she helped me so much with overcoming fear, healing from unhealthy past relationships, and learning how to trust my own intuition and guidance…I realized I wanted to be a Life Coach too! What a great way for me to help empower others with the same freedom I was experiencing.
I attended the Coaches Training Institute (CTI) in 2007 in Boston.
Since then I have been coaching individuals and groups. I love creating the space for people to transform limiting beliefs and connect to and realize their highest potential.
Throughout all of my schooling, traveling and living in various states, I’ve had many relationships that have taught me so much. My book, From Your Vision Board to Your Bedroom: Using the Law of Attraction to Find True Love, is a combination of everything I’ve learned from coaching, Law of Attraction, and the ins and outs of manifesting a relationship that I truly desired. That’s where the Love Coaching comes in. It’s one of my passions!
And the art thing. I’ve been creative all of my life. I learned about “happy trees” as a young child from Bob Ross! During college I took a bunch of art classes, and I love taking adult ed classes too.
A few years ago I was meditating and had the image of finger painting. I found it a bit odd, since I haven’t done that since elementary school, but I listened, and did a little research on it, and found a woman online who was doing exactly what I saw during my meditation. I called her up and she told me which paints to use, so I began playing.
It was really perfect, since it tied in my massage and spiritual connection onto the canvas.
In a big nutshell, that’s what I’m about. And I am excited to share the combination of all I have learned and am still learning with you. Plus, I look forward to learning from you as well, so send me an email and tell me a bit about yourself.
One more thing…It is powerful to know that we can attract whomever and whatever we want into our lives. We are amazing beings. YOU are amazing and perfect and creative.
Do you know how magnificent you are? There are many that doubt this, so it is my intention to help those that doubt see the truth of who they are. I believe that if everyone truly knows how special they are and that we are each here for a purpose, there will be so much love and harmony in the world.
I look forward to meeting you!
