Last night my friend Michele and I had our first Law of Attraction Intensive Class.
We’re holding this 9 week course here in Portland, Maine.  It is for people who are new to the LOA who want to delve deep into the subject and get lots of Law of Attraction tools for their toolbox.
So, I figured I’d sprinkle in some of our Law of Attraction lessons on this blog.
Here’s an activity we did last night.  It’s to help people begin to understand the fact that we have the freedom to choose our thoughts, which will in turn change the way we feel.
Which thought Feels Better
(Modified from Ask And It Is Given, By Esther Hicks Book Pg. 231)
Purpose:
  • To become aware of how your thoughts feel
  • To get better at feeling better feeling thoughts
  • To understand that your thoughts change your point of attraction
  • To realize the power your own thoughts have to influence everything around you.

Step 1: Write your thoughts about a topic that is bugging you- thoughts of how you feel about it right now.

Step 2: Write another statement that amplifies how you feel.

Step 3: Write down: “I’m going to reach for some thoughts that help me feel a little bit better.”

Step 4: Then write more thoughts about it, trying to reach for better feeling ones.  And then evaluate whether they feel better, the same or worse than when you initially began.

Here’s my example:

Step 1:

It is really bugging me that I still don’t have a tenant in one of my rental apartments.

Why is it taking so long to get a tenant?

I really hate just putting all of my money into this house.

Step 2:

I HATE having these rentals!!

Step 3:

“I’m going to reach for some thoughts that help me feel a little bit better.”
Step 4:
At least the other units are rented. (Better)
At least we are still getting calls on it. (Better)
But what if I never get it rented and have to foreclose? (Worse)
At least I have money to cover the mortgage. (Better)
At least I have a great guy that will be managing them now. (Better)
But I hate having to think about it all of the time. (Same)
But at least I’m able to think at all! (Better)
Wouldn’t it be nice to have them all rented! (Better)

This Law of attraction Technique is a great way to quickly feel better about something.  They say it only takes 17 seconds to change your vibration, so the more time you spend writing thoughts that feel better, the more positive things you’re going to start attracting.

I’d love to hear any other Law of Attraction techniques you have to feel better, so leave a comment below and share with us all…

At least I know there is a new wave of political ideology [Tea Party] that will not make investing in property prohibitive. (Best)

True Tea Party are neither Dems or GOP.

Hi Sue…outstanding post…one of the best I have read.
Every thought has a picture and a feeling. I often ask
myself ” What picture am I looking at? More simply put
what is the first memory I can put my finger on that
could be the root cause of the feeling.

Great post Sue…I think the moment you become aware of your thoughts, it immediately shifts them into a more positive direction. For example once you make yourself aware that “I hate having these rentals” is just a thought and not the truth, it's easy to move on and have more positive thoughts. Thanks for sharing your great insights with us!

Yes Taz! I love that distinction that you made…a thought is just a thought and not THE TRUTH! Thanks for that!

Thanks for reading Pat! I've never thought of that fact that every thought has a picture. Good one. When I think of it like that, there are so many perspectives to each picture we look at, so maybe what we are thinking could so easily be seen from a ton of different perspectives.

    Thanks for your comment!

Seems like a great tool to change your mood around… First acknowledging how you feel now and then using the power of your mind and creativity to look at it from a different vantage point. Thanks for sharing!

If there's someway that we can be conscious of our thoughts, and if there's a negative one come up, we'll be conscious of it. There's something that happens there, that changes your perspective from the thinker, to the witness of your thoughts. Then your awareness can expand outside of the mind and become one with the abundant universe.

How do you go about asking for things you truely desire? Are there anything specific you do when using the law of attraction and has it worked for you…if so…how?

It's no secret that a girl wants to feel special and know you are paying attention to her. But at the same time you have to balance that against coming off as overly guarded or aloof.

however you must remember that there is a universe around you that is also setting things in motion. So the chances are things are going to get canceled out!…

Hi i was wondering if theres any technique or routine, id take magic or law of attraction, mostly the law of attraction, but i woke up this moring around 10:30, and i had a sore throat, felt tired, and then i got up and my body felt weak, and i was shivering cold.

Ever ask yourself this question? I did, over and over again. It seemed I couldn't catch a break no matter what I did. I was broke, my relationship had just ended, my health and state of mind was lousy it seemed “bad luck” followed me like a dark clou.

Great tips, as always! I also use the “find and replace” to check for punctuation errors: it takes very little time and can prove very useful.
