Day 1: What are you manifesting now?

Welcome to Day 1 of the series, “Mindset for Manifesting”.

Today’s topic is:

Taking inventory of what you are currently  manifesting in your life.

Before you do the activity below to look at what you are currently manifesting in your life, I thought it would be good to ask the question:

What does manifesting mean anyway?

Here’s how Webster defines it:
“show, show up; expose; hold up to view, expose to view;
set before one, place before one, bring to light”

I thought that was pretty interesting.  This means that
what we want to manifest is already present, it just needs
to show itself.

Or better yet, we just need to allow ourselves to see it.
We don’t have to make it happen.  We don’t have to
force it to happen.

I don’t know about you, but for me this took some of the
pressure off the whole idea of manifesting.  So you mean to
tell me, I don’t need to be a magician to make happen what
I want in my life?  I don’t need to know some secret
formula or perform some act of a miracle?

Nope, but we do have to ALLOW and create the right
environment for things that we want in our lives to reveal themselves.

We all have the power to manifest.  In fact we are all
manifesting every day.  Some of us just don’t know we are
doing it, and we are often manifesting things in our lives
that we really don’t want.

A simple way to see that we already have the power to
manifest is to look at what’s going on in our lives now.
Look around at what you’re living.  What has shown up in
your life?  For some of you these things may be amazing,
for others, perhaps you’re living a life you’d rather
not be living.

Either way, you have manifested this.

That may sound harsh to someone that is living a life they
don’t want.  You’re probably saying, “If I could have
chosen what’s going on in my life, I wouldn’t have
chosen this.  But if you stop for a minute and pay
attention to what you’re thinking on a daily basis, you
will see that maybe you are perpetuating what you are living.

Today’s Activity:

Let’s see what you’re currently manifesting in your life:

Step 1:
Take out your journal and make a list of the following categories:

Health

Wealth

Relationships

Fun/Entertainment

Family

Job/Career/Employment

Spirituality

Home

(Feel free to add any others that you feel are important in your life.)

Step 2:
Rate your satisfaction level of each on a scale of
1(low)-10(high)

Step 3:
Take notes next to each subject of what is showing up in
your life regarding each category.

Step 4:
Take out a new sheet of paper and write down the same list.
Now, I want you to write your current thoughts and words
you find yourself thinking and saying on a daily basis for
each category.

Here are some examples:

Wealth:  (rating:3) “There’s no money in my bank account.”  “Another bill!  How the heck am I going to pay this?”

Health:  (rating: 4) “I feel so fat.”  “These jeans don’t fit me anymore, I’ve got to stop eating dessert with every meal.”

Family: (rating: 9) “I feel so blessed to have such an amazing family.”

Step 5:
Go back to your first list with the ratings on it.  Compare
what your rating is with what you are saying and thinking
about that topic.  I suspect, they are pretty much in line
with each other.

Can you see that you are creating the situation by your
thoughts and words?

Throughout the rest of the day, pay attention
to what you hear yourself saying about different topics.   As you catch yourself, try switching your words around a bit so they are less harsh.

This awareness is the first step to creating a new mindset
for what you’re wanting in your life.
