Do you ever have those days when you don’t want to do anything but lay on the couch and veg out?

And then the next day,  you find yourself full of energy, working non stop, and pumping it out?

What creates our change in energy?  For me it is definitely the basics.  Eating and sleeping.

I know that when I eat healthy I have way more energy.  For me that means lots of veggies (that’s strange, why do they say veg out when you are laying there, but veggies give you so much energy?) brown rice, beans, fish, chicken and lots of water.  And I find when I’m taking some sort of supplement or vitamin I have more sustained energy as well.

I also know that when I make the time for meditation and exercise my energy levels and production levels increase dramatically.

This weekend, I allowed myself time to be a seal.  I’ve been pouring out work like that waterfall lately, so it felt so good to sit on the comfy couch and watch a movie.

What kind of food gives you the most energy?  How many hours do you need to sleep in order to wake up rested?  Do you feel like a seal or a waterfall today?  Leave a comment below to share your tips with us all…

I was a waterfall on Saturday, then a seal on Sunday for the most part. The seals on the beach reminded me of what it looks like on an early Saturday or Sunday morning in my daughter's bedrooms, especially when they have been out late and have their girlfriends stay over. Why DO they say “veg-out?”

Enjoyed your nature pictures. I too find that when I eat more vegetables and eat lighter, I definitely have more energy and feel better. Thanks for your contribution to Take Charge of Your Health Care Carnival.

Interesting post and interesting I found it, however I feel a bit jealous of you cos I cannot relate at all, no matter if I eat healthy or not I do not feel any difference. I get a kick from coffee , i get a kick from chocolate… But if I eat fish, bread or vegetables or pizza.. i dont see much of a difference if any at all in my behaviour or how I feel about me.
