Photography
In life we get to choose what we want to see. We each have the freedom to use our perspective to create our mood. We get to dance with the universe and design a life of our dreams. That is what I love about looking through the lens of a camera. I get to pick and choose where I want to focus. I can determine what to include in my view and what to leave out.
Water Wonderings
You can never step into the same river; for new waters are always flowing on to you.
-Heraclitus
Water Wonderings is a reflection on reflections. I love to watch what happens when the sun dances with the colors of the boats and how quickly it changes. It reminds me of when I was a student of Vipassana meditation. The contemplation of impermanence (anicca-nupassana) refers to seeing conditioned phenomena arising and passing away while observing their individual characteristics.
Ironically an image captures the moment, and while it seems to imply a sense of permanence, this too is false as it changes and evolves with each viewer.
