My 9 year old nephew, Jacob, has been saving his money for months to get a Wii. What he doesn’t know is that Santa is going to deliver one to his house Thursday night while visions of sugar-plums are dancing in his head.

The Santa story reminds me of the Law of Cause and Effect.

Let’s look at it this way. Jacob has been visualizing having this Wii. He plays it at his friend’s house and he imagines having it in his home as well. He has been focusing his time and effort into getting a means to buying it. (I appreciate that because he’s great at cleaning Auntie Sue’s car!)

In essence, he has set a cause in motion. The universe knows he is wanting this. This kid is pure in his thinking too. He has no doubt that he will get this thing. There is no fear clogging his intention.

In fact, when his younger sister, Alana, who is supposed to be contributing to the piggy bank asks, “Jacob, how are we going to get enough money to buy a Wii?” He says with confidence, “Easy, work.” (Alana, however is a lot like her auntie…work is a bad 4 letter word!)

Remember, life always manifests images of the mind, and grants every sincere and certain desire without fail.  –Happy Pocket Full of Money

Now let’s look at what Santa and Mrs. Clause have been envisioning. They have a desire to give a gift of appreciation to these little munchkins who have been “nice” all year long.

The effect is that Friday morning will be a Wii wrapped under the tree.

What if we look at this story in a more universal fashion.

The truth is, people are always asking for what we have to give. For every dream we have, there is someone wanting to give it.  When you visualize something you wish to have, someone is visualizing the same thing as something that they wish to give or sell.

This is all a peek to the behind the scenes of demand and supply.

Where in your life do you see evidence of this? Who in your life is showing up because of something you have envisioned, needed, asked?

I recently met a friend who has a huge desire to get more mental clarity and focus and stress management.  I, at the same time have a desire to spread  natural wellness into the world, because I know how my life has improved dramatically by supporting it with the right nutrients. Presto, the Law of Cause and Effect in action.

You may have heard of the Butterfly Effect described in the book, Chaos by James Geick.

The notion that a butterfly stirring the air today in Peking can transform storm systems next month in New York.

The truth is, we have no idea who’s going to bring it, how it’s going to come or what is going to cause it.  But when we are clear on our intention, the effect will be what we want.

The next time you have inspiration, get excited in knowing that some people are actually asking you and waiting on you to fulfill their desires.  You are the answers to their prayers and they are the answers to your prayers.

In this holiday season remember that we are all gifts and miracles to each other…and the best way to present them is by being fully who we are meant to be in this world.

We want to hear from you…what experience have you had with the Law of Cause and Effect? What dreams do you have that are being filled by others? Leave a comment below, we’d love to hear from you!

In joy and love,

Hi Sue, thank you for another inspiring post! I've experience the Law of Cause & Effect all over the place this year. For example, I've met some incredible people who are perfect fits for my life right now. They've led me to business opportunities, events, and communities that are exactly the type that I want! I can't wait for what the next year has to bring. Happy Holidays my friend, I miss you!

I think it is about some Greek Priest who used to live in Constantinople before the name change of course. His aim in life was to help the poor children or something like that. Anyway they made him a Saint. The other is about another person who was I think German and also was of the same merit of helping the poor children around the place.
