Did you know the words CREATING and REACTING have the same letters?  But when you think about it, they are SO different.

So different in fact, that this could determine how the rest of your day, month and year turns out!

Think about something that has happened in your life recently that took you off guard.  Did you react to it, or did you create something out of it?

I remember a few years ago when I got into a car accident.  I immediately reacted to it.  I was enveloped with fear and guilt.  I started wondering what I had done to “deserve” this.   I was trying to make excuses…like the city should trim those bushes so I could have seen that car coming!

But, when I got back into my full self and sought out guidance from my positive thinking friends, I switched into creating mode.  I began to realize that prior to that accident I had been envisioning a new car.  I had been thinking about the vibration of a beat up truck versus the vibration and feeling of driving a nice vehicle.

So, when I started to create from this “seemingly horrible” event, it actually turned out to be a blessing.  I got to buy the exact car I wanted!  (Plus I got to get lots of chiropractic visits paid for by insurance, which led me to a 21 day cleanse that the chiropractor got me on, which led me to feeling totally healthy, which led me to…and on and on of positive things coming my way.)

Can you imagine what other crazy things I could have kept attracting had I not switched my vibration!

You see, we are actually always creating all of the time.  If I stayed in reacting mode however, I would have been UNCONSCIOUSLY creating versus CONSCIOUSLY creating.

When we unconsciously create (or react) we feel like a victim.

When we consciously create we are in our power.

How do we know if we are unconsciously or consciously creating?  How do we know if we are reacting or creating?

I think it’s being in tuned with our feelings.  This gives us an indication of what we’re creating in life.  If it feels good and powerful and exciting, then that’s a signal of consciously creating positive things.  If we feel bummed out, angry, depressed, fearful, jealous, then usually we’re reacting.  Unless of course we’re moving up the emotional scale (for a later post)!

We want to hear from you.  Share with us something that has happened in your life recently that took you off guard.  Did you react to it, or did you create something out of it?  Leave a comment below…

Thanks!

Love it Sue! Great reminder. I can definitely FEEL the difference when I'm creating and when I'm reacting. Creating makes me feel good, calm and strong. Reacting makes me anxious, upset and feel out of control. Thanks for spelling it out for me, now I will recognize when I'm reacting and turn it around and start creating!

This is so true. I had desired to live in a home. When my neighbor in my old apartment was held by gunpoint Bryan and I decide to move quickly, within a month into a home. It was actually the perfect thing to propel me into what I truly desired! Most of the time, especially when you are on the path of taking control of your life, things which seem negative can turn out to be super positive!!
