In my program, The Finding Love Formula, I have a section on finding your match. I suggest that dating is all about doing research to help you get to know what you want.
I believe dates can be research and exploration (and FUN).
This serves 3 purposes:
1. To consciously start paying attention to what you like, how you feel, and what you want in a match.
2. To get out of the house and into the dating world in a relaxed and non-pressured way, since you are just doing “research” and have some FUN!
3. To let the Universe know you are “ready” by putting your desires into action. Like the Quakers say, “As you pray, move your feet.”
These dates will be useful as you begin to practice letting go of any resistance and fear you may have around meeting new people, as well as clarifying your vision in what you want in a partner. I personally love going on dates. For one thing, you get 100% of the person’s attention on you! Plus, you have an opportunity to meet people you may not get a chance to meet otherwise.
Prior to any dates I would go on, I would set an intention. I decided how I wanted to feel during the date, what I wanted to learn about this other person, and discover why the Universe had put him in my path at this time in my life.
I challenge you to get out there and do some dating!! Maybe commit to yourself to go on 3 dates within the next month.
