I’m sitting in the Baltimore Airport waiting for my flight. I love airports, but I must say today I’m a bit tired and it’s already been a long week, so I’m noticing myself a bit grumpy!

This isn’t like me, but I’m giving myself a break… Because if I don’t, who will?

As I’m sitting here I started realizing – wow, this seat is actually comfortable! It’s one of those cushy ones I can plug this iPhone into.

Then I started realizing that I am perfectly comfortable temperature-wise.  And then I realized my belly is perfectly filled. All of my basic needs are totally met.  And as I look around there’s some eye candy as well!  And all of a sudden I forget that I was grumpy.

Last night in our Law of Attraction class we talked about one of Abraham Hick’s Law of Attraction Techniques called pivoting.

This is a great tool when you feel yourself going upstream, or feeling negative about a situation.

The guys in the class gave the example of being in line.

There’s something about men and lines that I’ve never understood, but it’s usually not a pretty sight.

So, this law of attraction tool of pivoting can come in handy at a time like that.

Here’s what you do for this Law of Attraction Technique: Pivoting

Step 1: Acknowledge how you are feeling or what is getting on your nerves.

Step 2: Say to yourself, “What I really want is to feel good”.

Step 3: Consciously think of something or distract yourself with something  that will make you feel a little better.

Step 4: Continue to milk the good feeling for more and more.

So, in that grocery store line, you could distract yourself with a magazine. Or, check out the beautiful people all around you. You could practice that meditation you didn’t make time for that morning.

Here’s a great quote from Abraham Hicks:

“Get so fixated on what you want, that you drown out any vibration or reverberation that has anything to do with what you do not want.”

Imagine how empowering it is when you’re able to control how you feel in whatever circumstance you find yourself in.  That is true freedom!

Do you have any Law of Attraction Techniques up your sleeve that help you feel better in a pinch?  We’d love to hear from you so leave a comment below!

LOL “There’s something about men and lines that I’ve never understood, but it’s usually not a pretty sight.” You are so adorable! I have watched a little of Abraham-Hicks on youtube and have yet to be guided to dive into their material fully. This is why I am so grateful you are sharing some of their most powerful tips, like pivoting, with us on your blog! Thanks Sue

Oh, but I didn't know this habbit was a Law of Attraction Technique… Since I don't actually 'use' it but just do it, it comes quite naturally to me. I can't just accept a situation and do nothing. My mind always wonders of to something exciting or something interesting. I just more aware of my surrounding and my wellbeing so it seems and it just doesn't cost me much energy either. Thanks at least to make this clear to other people. Never accept the draining with negative thoughts! Go out and keep yourself up with things you like and want to feel every minute. Sorrow is for the ones who have no hope.

How would it feel to live each day choosing to DO what feels good and feeling good about what you DO? When you choose actions that feel good, instead of actions that prove you are good, you set yourself up for a great day….
