What is Your Self Care?
The other day a woman and I were talking about her life. She is feeling overwhelmed because she has been taking care of her husband who became ill over a year ago. She was at first feeling a bit guilty for taking a few days off to attend a workshop in another state, but said that it was so important for her to remember to fill herself up, and work on her self care, or she will have nothing to give him. She used this analogy of the oxygen mask on an airplane.
In fact, she said that he was really enjoying his time with his buddy who was staying with him while she was away. So, it ended up being a win-win!
How many times do we forget to take care of ourselves? We are often juggling so many things, and so many people are relying on us, that we forget to take time for ourselves. What does your self care look like?

- Taking a bubble bath with candles and nice music
- Curling up with a great book
- Taking a walk by yourself, without your phone
- Going to the gym
- Going to the movies by yourself
- Taking yourself to your favorite restaurant
- Going on a gals/guys weekend
